I Like #59

Tough day here this morning, we are going to put down one of our beloved dogs this morning, the small white Shih Tzu Missy.  She's Mike's baby but has cancer and is going downhill very fast.  We're struggling here, so please send good thoughts if you can.

I'll just leave you with a couple more cheerful things, nascent signs of spring and one of Melissa Sobotka's lovely quilts which I saw this weekend at the Dallas Quilt Show.

  1. I've had two shih-tzus in my life and adored both, Ming and Winnie. They both had long, illness-free lives. One died naturally at 16(!!) and sadly, we had to put down Winnie with a kidney problem at the age of 12. It was painful to lose them but we comforted ourselves with the idea that they had enjoyed full, love filled days. So I know what you are going through...it isn't easy.

  2. I’m so sorry for your loss. The picture with all four of them laid out on the pillows is just the best. Lots of love there. 💚 Hugs to you and your family.

  3. Hi Shannon,
{{{{Hugs}}}} a bunch for you and Mike. Oh how hard to lose a piece of your four-legged family. I know it is hard but Missy is counting on you doing the best thing for her. I know you don't want her to suffer. Aww, all the pups will be missing her and looking her for days to come. {{Hugs}} again. Know that your quilting friends send loads of prayers and even some tears for this very hard day. Roseanne

  7. poor girl.... it's the hardest decision to make. It seems no matter what action you take you wonder if it's the right one. You made a good life for her. What loss... I'm so sorry. Loss of a loved one.

The pictures were so good. I felt I knew her from the ones you chose. I could almost feel her soft hair. I loved the four on a bed, and the sunglasses ones best. Take care of yourself and I send virtual hugs.
