Welcome to another week of things to like. We're having winter suitable weather here, not much precipitation, but it did drizzle snow a little last night. I like winter weather!
I've been working on my box elder bug quilt projects this week. I cut out the bugs from dark purple and black fabric on my silhouette machine and I had the "frames" leftover from the cutouts so I fused them down onto some hand painted pink fabric and am making my annual SAQA Spotlight and Benefit Auction quilts out of them. I had fun making the bugs all different patterns. It's been good to get to practice with my new sewing machine!
Nothing is blooming at home right now but my little cacti are doing well!
Blue has been curling up on the pouf with me- Spooky usually steals that spot so it's great when Blue can get it.
My friend Brett shared a piece of his family's fruit jello marshmallow dessert salad with me and it was very tasty!
Spooky curled up in the clean laundry this week while I was folding- he was pretty cute, every time I folded the things near him, he'd get up and relocate to a part of the pile that was still there. And it wasn't even warm laundry or anything.
Bentley enjoyed sitting in the sun on Sunday afternoon when it was warm enough to leave the door open a little. He's not doing to well right now, Spooky managed to transfer Blue's ear infection to Bentley (by his CONSTANT ANNOYING LICKING of other people's ears) so poor Bentley now has an ear infection and is not good. We got him to the vet, but he is not happy.
I hope everyone is hanging in there! Click over to LeeAnna's for more things to like!
I can’t get over your boxelder bugs. They give me the creeps in real life, but your hand painted pink ones are too stinkin cute!
ReplyDeleteBlue in a ball. Poor Bentley - I hope he feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteYour bug quilting is gorgeous. Oh poor pups with ear infections. Bobbin started to get one, but I had some left over meds from the last one and got it taken care of quick. That is a mighty big lap pup, thank goodness for the pouf. Spooky is helping hold down the laundry so it doesn't escape while you are folding.
